What People Are Saying?

Reading “Spiritual Preparation” wasn’t just casual reading, but felt more like sacred instruction!
On every page, I sensed the presence of God—like a teacher standing over me ensuring I was attentive to every word- because each page carried a weight that demanded attention.

Emotionally I am easily distracted and can often times allow my attention to be interrupted by what’s going on around me and in me. I default to isolation and inactivity. While reading, I felt such a conviction by the Holy Spirit asking me as God asked Elijah, “ what are you doing here?”.

Spiritual Preparation is a holy nudge, a call to awaken me from isolation and fear back into purpose. It confronted and exposed my comfortability, complacency, and passivity, and calls us out of lukewarm faith into holy readiness. Spiritual Preparation is a timely wake-up call for the Church—reminding us that the end-time Church cannot afford spiritual exhaustion or complacency, but must rise renewed, attentive, and fully prepared for the work of God.
It is the mercy of God that we are not consumed and I’m grateful that this book was written for such a time as this to sound the alarm.

Reading Spiritual Preparation challenged me to pause and honestly evaluate my spiritual readiness, not just outwardly but inwardly as well. One of my biggest takeaways is the reminder that spiritual preparedness is intentional and ongoing. The author’s comparison to the days of Noah and Lot felt especially relevant, as Scripture warns that people will be living as usual—unaware and unprepared—when the Lord returns (Luke 17:26–30). This made me reflect on how easy it is to become distracted or spiritually complacent in today’s world.

The book reinforced the importance of vigilance and discernment, echoing Jesus’ instruction to “watch and pray” so that we are not caught off guard (Matthew 26:41). One area that stood out to me personally was the need for consistency in prayer and discernment. The book prompted me to examine whether I was truly seeking God daily or only in moments of need, reminding me that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). I appreciated the emphasis on personal accountability and maintaining a genuine relationship with God rather than relying on routine alone. This aligns with 2 Corinthians 13:5, which calls believers to examine themselves and test their faith.

As someone who values service and supporting others, the book reminded me that spiritual strength must come first. Scripture affirms that we must remain rooted in God in order to bear fruit (John 15:4–5). Ultimately, my personal takeaway is that spiritual preparation is a daily commitment. It requires faithfulness, obedience, and readiness, as Scripture encourages believers to “be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Matthew 24:44). The book left me more mindful, prayerful, and motivated to remain grounded in my walk with God.
